We were saddened to hear that our friend and shipmate, Al Sheeler, passed away on January 15, 2015 at age 89 in South Miami, his home for 60 years.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dot and her wonderful family.

Al was on the Harry Lee the last few months of 1944 and up until it was decommissioned in New York. He was aboard the Lee for eighteen months and made the last two invasions.

Al and his wife, Dot were married in 1953.
